Mag. Michael Bauer

CRISIS COMMUNICATION, MEDIA TRAININGS

Michael Bauer has been a press officer of the Austrian Ministry of Defence for years.   He is a graduate of the Theresian Military Academy and a career officer. After his five-year career as an armoured reconnaissance company commander, he was the press officer of the International Missions Command from 1999 to 2003. He studied Political Science at the University Vienna, completed the Austrian College for Journalism in Salzburg and is a team trainer for management behaviour. He has been the Head of Crisis Communication at the Austrian Ministry of Defence since 2009. Numerous appearances at press conferences and in front of cameras make him a (crisis) communication expert. He passes on his know-how as a lecturer at the Danube University Krems and at the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Wien.
